NSSF Wins Easter Bonanza Football Trophy

The National Social Security Fund has won this year’s aster Bonanza Football trophy following a tough tussle that was played at Popatlal Secondary School grounds in Tanga on April 3, 2010.

In a weekend games fight-out, the Fund’s men’s outfit displayed unmatched skills flooring a tough line-up of determined players from the Zanzibar Social Security Fund (ZSSF) . At the end of the 90 minutes, the score board read 2-1 in favour of the NSSF.

In the Netball Game, the ZSSF team won the trophy after clobbering the NSSF heroines 20 to 11 points. The Easter Bonaza games are an annul event bringing together soccer and netball teams from the two social security funds. Next year’s games will take place in Zanzibar.
