Fund Holds Two Strategic Meetings

The National Social Security Fund will hold two strategic annual meetings in the week beginning 12th to 16th April 2010, to assess its performance and chart out the best way forward for the organization.

A statement issued last weekend by the Fund’s Chief of Public and Customer Services Mrs Eunice Chiume indicated that the two meetings, Senior Officers Conference and the Master Workers Council will take place at the NSSF Waterfront Building on Monday and Tuesday, and Thursday and Friday, respectively.

The Senior Officers Conference is held annually to discuss, among others, the Fund’s performance for the past nine months, budget and strategies for the next financial year, 2010/11. It brings together the Fund’s countrywide management members and top technical staff.

The Master Workers Council, on the other hand, will attract top management and workers’ representatives and will evaluate performance against pre-set bench marks and strategize on how to move ahead.
